Lynn has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. A 1978 physical therapy graduate of Ithaca College, Lynn also earned her National Certification in Athletic Training the following year. She began her physical therapy career in pediatrics while serving as a volunteer high school athletic trainer for various teams. Her sports medicine management career began at Cornell University in 1981 where she was the Supervisor of the Physical Therapy Department.
In 1986 Lynn moved to Syracuse, NY to open Onondaga Sports Medicine Center, a sports medicine focused outpatient rehabilitation center, the first of its kind in Central New York. After serving as Director until 1994, the assets for OSMR's two locations were sold to HealthSouth under a management contract. Lynn's responsibilities grew from managing two locations in Central New York to over 50 locations across the state by 2000. On July 1, 2005 the management agreement with HealthSouth was terminated forming the largest, independently owned physical therapy provider in New York State's Sports Physical Therapy of New York, PC.
Lynn's commitment to the community does not end with her role at Sports PT. She is an active member of the Board of Directors for the following organizations: the Hospice Foundation of Central New York, Onondaga-Oswego Chapter of the American Red Cross and Interfaith Works. For the past 20 years, Lynn has also served as the musical director of two (2) youth choirs at University United Methodist Church, sits on multiple support committees and is President of the Board of Trustees. Lynn is a member of the Executive Women's Golf Association and is a 2008 Woman in Business award recipient.
Lynn and her husband Matt are natives to Syracuse. Matt is a physical education teacher at Fayetteville-Manlius high school and a collegiate football coach at Cortland State University. Their three adult children have joined the medical and fitness/wellness professions as well.
