About this Clinic

We are conveniently located 1 block East of Union Square Park and easily accessible by subway or bus. Our experienced, family-oriented staff uses hands on treatment skills and individualized exercise programs to facilitate your recovery. Our facility is located in a large space that is ideal for functional training and sport specific drills. We specialize in treatments of all orthopedic conditions , especially but not limited to post-operative rehab, sports medicine, pre-operative therapy and all non-operative orthopedic conditions. We accept most major insurance plans.

Name: Rick Daigle, PT, DPT

Rick joined Sports PT in September of 2007 after moving from the Boston area. He specializes in sports medicine, post-surgical rehabilitation and has a strong interest in working with baseball players. Rick has had extensive experience with high school, collegiate and even professional athletes. Prior to moving into the NY area, Rick worked at a large sports medicine clinic in Providence, RI where he had the chance to work with the Rhode Island College Baseball team providing post-surgical rehabilitation and consultation on throwing mechanics for their pitching staff. It is Rick�s goal professionally to continue his development of specializing in sports medicine and is more than willing to help all of his patients reach that next level whether it is in daily life or excelling in athletics. Rick also had the chance to spend time training at the acclaimed Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center where he worked directly with Tim Heckmann, PT, ATC and Frank Noyes, MD. Rick is a former competitive skier; an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his family.

Joann graduated from Andrews University in 2001 with a Masters in Physical Therapy and started with Sports PT in 2002. She has excellent manual skills and has taken numerous continuing education courses to further hone her orthopedic skills. Born in Japan, she speaks fluent Japanese and enjoys playing ice hockey in her free time. She also is an avid athlete who competes in triathlons frequently.

Mitch received his degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from New York University in 2000 and began working with Sports PT the same year. Prior to becoming a PTA, Mitch proudly served on the NYPD. His clinical interests include Sports Medicine & Orthopedics as well as Geriatric Care. He is the proud father of two little girls and enjoys gardening and working out in his free time.
