About this Clinic

Our clinic is conveniently located in residential Brooklyn and has been providing quality physical therapy since the mid-80�s to local residents of Kings County. Trusted and widely known in the community for being the premier provider of excellent and hands-on physical therapy, our treatment and care is rendered, administered and supervised by licensed physical therapists all with vast knowledge and backgrounds in the field of rehabilitation. Name: Senen Nans Bernardo, Jr., PT

Nan's has been the Facility Manager at our Brooklyn facility since 2000. He attended Fatima Medical Science Foundation, Inc. where he received his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy in 1997. In addition to specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, Nans has extensive experience in treating patients with Worker's Comp injuries and performs Functional Baseline Evaluations, Work Conditioning/Hardening, and Pre-Return to Work Evaluations. Outside of work, Nans enjoys wood-crafting, gardening, listening to jazz music and spending time with his wife and their three wonderful children, Aerin Nicole, Jared Thomas and Ryan Matthew.

Rowena received her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from Angeles University Foundation in 1996 and has been a part of the SPTNY family since 2003. She has several areas of clinical interest including pre- and post-operative cases, as well as any orthopedic, neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions. She has attended many continuing education courses including ones on the McKenzie Technique and Manual Therapy. In her spare time she enjoys knitting, reading, baking, hiking, table tennis and spending time with her husband Nans and their three wonderful children.

Name: Andrew Labbate, MSPT, ATC
Credentials: Masters in Physical Therapy, Certified Athletic Trainer

Andrew is a Licensed Physical Therapist as well as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He received his Bachelor's in Human Movement Sports Science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT in 2002. He then went on to attain his Masters in Physical Therapy from the same university in 2005. He has attended several clinical education courses including PBATS Evaluation and Treatment of Baseball Injuries, Maitland & McKenzie approaches to Low Back Pain Evaluation and Treatment, Nutrition in Athletes, and Exercise Prescription in the Elderly. His clinical interests include any and all types of sports rehabilitation. He has worked several athletic events sponsored by SPTNY including the Michael Jordan All-American Classic and the New York Titans inaugural season. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys playing baseball and collecting baseball memorabilia.

Gina received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Long Island University in 2007. While attending LIU, she became a part of the SPTNY team when she opted to complete her clinical affiliation with us here. Her areas of clinical interest include post-surgical rehabilitation, particularly ACL reconstruction, Total Knee replacements and Meniscal Repairs. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, traveling and reading. Gina also speaks conversational Spanish.
